We have made our Facilitators' handbook available for other youth workers and facilitators working with all the generations by sharing the tool in the toolbox of Salto Youth. People outside the InterGenic project can use it for free and structure their actions accordingly, as well as get inspired to do more intergenerational actions locally and internationally.
Aims of the tool
The aims of the InterGenic Facilitators' Handbook are to:
1. Promote Intergenerational Learning – Strengthen connections between different age groups by fostering mutual learning and cooperation.
2. Equip Facilitators with Practical Tools – Provide interactive methods, activities, and guidance for youth workers and educators to implement effective intergenerational programs.
3. Encourage Inclusion & Knowledge Exchange – Create opportunities for seniors and younger generations to share experiences, skills, and cultural perspectives.
4. Support Lifelong Learning – Highlight the value of continuous learning across generations, ensuring that knowledge and wisdom are transferred and preserved.
5. Improve Social Cohesion – Reduce age-related barriers and encourage meaningful community dialogue and collaboration.
